Book Cover

It is often said not to judge a book by its cover, but let's be honest, everyone does, especially teens. When deciding on the cover for Y.O.L.O, I wanted to design one that would catch your eye. I achieved this by having the book appear to look at you.

Designing a book cover is more than just creating a pretty picture; it requires that the reader can easily understand what they will get from the story before they open the book to read it. This means Y.O.L.O's cover has to convey that it focuses not only on a group of teenagers in high school but also that these teenagers are angsty and going through something they want you to see (hence looking at you and inviting you to open the book).
